Travel between Nepal and Kenya is growing, and so is the number of websites claiming to offer Kenyan visas. Most of them are not official. Here is the one link that actually works — and a human office behind it if you get stuck.

Kenya no longer issues paper visas — it issues an eTA
Since January 2024, the Government of Kenya replaced the traditional visa with the Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA). Every traveller, including infants, applies online, directly with the Kenyan government — there is no visa stamp, no in-person visit required, and no legitimate role for a third-party "agent" to process it on your behalf.
→ www.etakenya.go.keThis is the only official domain. If a site looks similar but isn't this address, it is not government-run — applications submitted through third-party sites are automatically denied and can put your money and documents at risk. Some things to watch for:
- Sites offering to "expedite" or "guarantee" approval for an extra fee
- Domains that resemble etakenya.go.ke with small spelling changes
- Anyone asking for payment outside the official site's checkout
The process
How the eTA actually works
Four steps, all on the official site. It typically takes three working days once submitted.

Gather your documents
Passport, a passport-style photo, and your travel and accommodation details.

Apply at etakenya.go.ke
Complete the form yourself, in English, directly on the government portal.

Pay the official fee online
Payment is made on the same site, by card. No other channel is required.

Receive and carry your approval
Approval arrives by email. Print it or save it — you'll show it on arrival.

We can
- Confirm you're looking at the genuine eTA portal, not an imitation
- Explain the process in plain Nepali or English before you apply
- Help with document questions specific to Nepali applicants
- Refer urgent or unusual cases to the Kenya High Commission, New Delhi
- Assist Kenyan citizens in Nepal with consular support and referrals
We do not
- Process, approve, or expedite eTA applications ourselves
- Charge a fee to "handle" your application
- Accept payment on behalf of the Kenyan government
- Guarantee approval — that decision rests with Kenyan authorities alone
