Standing with Nepal in its hour of need
In the silence that follows a rushing river, there are stories of courage, heartbreak, and hope.
The devastating floods that swept through the Trishuli and Bhotekoshi river valleys have left families grieving, communities shattered, and countless lives forever changed. Entire settlements were overwhelmed within moments, while rescue teams continue their tireless search for those still missing.
In this difficult hour, the Government of the Republic of Kenya has conveyed its heartfelt message of condolence to the Government and people of Nepal through H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, addressed to Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Hon. Shisir Khanal.
As Kenya has also known the pain of devastating floods, we stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal — not only in mourning those we have lost, but in honouring the resilience of those rebuilding their lives.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with every affected family, the brave first responders, and all those working tirelessly to bring hope where it is needed most.
Nepal is not alone. Kenya stands with Nepal.
